Barcelona 3D 2N

From Switzerland, i bought easy jet ticket to Barcelona for €34+€50=€84. Check www.easyjet.com for budget airline in Europe. You can only bring small cabin baggage. Bringing backpack is always the safer way.

From Barcelona airport, go to Aerobus counter and buy a round trip ticket for €10,90 (one way ticket= €5,90).

I stayed in Plaça Catalunya area or La Rambla. It was really convenient to walk as it is near the city center, gothic area, St. Josep Boqueria, and cathedral. So, from the airport i took aerobus until the last stop (plaça Catalunya).

There are a lot of hotels and hostels along the street. You can explore from Passeig Gracia to La Rambla.

I spent my first night in Flor Park Hotel right in front of the opera house and the metro station Liceu. It was €90 incl tax and breakfast. The room is big and the bathroom is pretty nice. Food was good!

My second night I stayed in Hotel Continental, located right in front of the metro station Plaça Catalunya. One night is €80. Friendly staff, free buffet 24h, room is smaller but bed is comfortable enough. However the room design is all pink. I think they should choose neutral color though. The food was so-so but was happy with the free flow drink

1st day: check in - walked to the gothic area, cathedral, walked along Pg de gracia to the hotel, ate tapaella in St Josep Boqueria

2nd day: park güell (better book the ticket online otherwise you're gonna go back and forth. Better go by bus no 24 from la rambla. From the bus stop is only 5 mins. If you go by metro, take L3 and stop at les cortes, but from the metro stop you need to walk 20 mins on a uphill road)

From park guell i went to Sagrada Famillia. Unfortunately i didn't go in because the schedule they provide is clashed to park guell ticket time. I think buy this online also could work. Took bus No. 96 from park guell.

From park guell i went back to the hotel and then go to FC Barcelona stadium in the evening. Try to find information on their official website, sometimes they have upcoming match announced which yoh might be able to watch. I was lucky i could watch the Spanish basketball league. In the stadium they have a big official store and also museum that worth visiting.

From the stadium I went to Magic Fountain in Plaça Espana. Take the metro L3 and stops in Espana. During summer, the fountain is open from Thursday- Sunday 9-11.30pm

Third day: shopping around Plaça Catalunya and then take the aerobus to the airport. Check your ticket to see which terminal you need to go because the aerobus is divided into 2 directions (T1 & T2)

PS: purchasing T10 ticket is very useful. You can explore Barcelona in 10 journeys by metro/bus with €9.50

Meal budget:
Breakfast: 0
Fast food: €7-9
Restaurant: €20

Overall, Barcelona is really impressive for me. I was so happy and enjoyed the summer break in Barcelona
